Its all about the journey, not the destination.

I used to follow Amal posts at Facebook quite frequently and got excited to join it to see what actually these people were doing and why every fellow at fellowship end, gets excited to acknowledge Amal in the best possible manner.

So I started my journey at Amal from January 5, 2019. It was a 3 month long journey. I am surprised and exhilarated to share the fact that really it was an amazing period full of learnings and one of the finest experiences of my life so far and I could ever imagine.

I learnt slew of lessons in this short span of time but the most important learning I had was: The good values.

What good values are? Good values are: Sympathy, Compassion, Empathy, Kindness, Gratitude, Supportiveness, Selfless Service,Helping others, Sacrificing, etc.

This 3 month period actually really helped me consolidate these values. Our mentors practiced these values and also encouraged us to practice these values and created such environment to force us get used to practice these values.

On an outdoor activity to Islamabad, I found everyone in the bus sacrificing his/her seat for others, consoling each others, Ma’am Ghania offering her glass of bottle to other students and not drinking herself unless everyone gets that. And in the in person sessions and even outside those session, every fellow was ever ready to help others. These are just some of the instances of carrying values. I have loads of such examples to share which I witnessed during this short period.

These values if practiced consistently can bring a positive change in society and I will InshaAllah keep practicing them throughout my life and also encourage others to practice them.

I really cherish and will keep cherishing this learning of practicing values all the time.

And now the actual journey starts.
